PRIVATE LESSONS FOR STUDENTS AGES 4 TO 18

• Each session is 8 to 12 weeks (taking into account Boulder Valley School District holidays).
• Fall Session is from just after Labor Day until the week after Thanksgiving.
• Winter Session is from after winter break to spring break.
• Spring Session starts after spring break and goes until Memorial Day. 
• Concert and recital opportunities are offered.

• Cost
• The cost of each session is determined by the number of weeks and the length of the lessons (either half hour or 45 minutes). 
• Summer lessons are billed per lesson at $25.00 for half hour and $35.00 per 45 minutes*. 

ADULT STUDENTS

Adult students are welcomed during the day at $40.00 per 45-minute lesson*.

A creative, inspiring teacher with fifteen years of experience, Margot utilizes diverse approaches to harp pedagogy. She teaches musicality through improvisation, ear training and composition games, as well as traditional methods.

She has Orff Schulwerk Training and has participated in Suzuki Teacher classes. She regularly attends conferences such as the Lyon and Healy Teacher Conference and workshops by colleagues including Kathleen McBride, Courtney Hershey-Bress, Grainne Hambly, Park Stickney, Alfredo Orlando Ortiz, Billy Jackson, Alison Kinnard, Kim Robertson, Maire ni Chathasaigh, Eloise Ristad, Susan Osborne, Titos Sampa, Colin Wolcott, Art Lande and Paul McCandless.
   
Margot Krimmel is equally at home on the pedal and lever harp. She uses a broad repertoire from classical to folk and popular music, including composers such as Grandjanny, Salzedo, Grainne Hambly, Deborah Henson-Conant and Alfredo Orlando Ortiz.

Teaching materials are enriched with her own solo and ensemble arrangements and harp compositions. Her compositions and arrangements have been featured at the World Harp Orchestra, Cherry Creek Chorale concerts and Mile High Chapter Ensemble Concerts.

Margot currently teaches private harp lessons at Colorado Academy in Denver as well as in her private Boulder studio.  She teaches at the Rocky Mountain Fiddle Camp ('06 and '07) and is a guest teacher at the Rocky Mountain Summer Music Camp www.bands.colostate.edu/camp/index at Colorado State University. She has taught at Naropa University Continuing Education School and Swallow Hill Music School.
